Potemkin Pipeline
A fake AI coding agent screensaver that simulates autonomous development work
Visit davidveksler.github.io ↗What is Potemkin Pipeline?
Potemkin Pipeline is an offline, single-file PWA that theatrically simulates an AI coding agent in action—streaming tool calls, debugging invented bugs, and deploying to production—without writing any actual code. It's designed as a humorous screensaver and commentary on the performative nature of modern development tooling, complete with fake dashboards, metrics, and occasional "boss-level drama" like CI failures and DDoS attacks.
The app requires zero dependencies and runs entirely in the browser. Each session generates a new confident agent codename (ORION, COLOSSUS, SINGULARITY, etc.), and all counters and metrics are seeded pseudorandom lies. The creator notes it was built with Claude Code.
