Sponsored placement policy

What can I buy?

• Skip the queue ($19). Your submission is reviewed ahead of the free queue.
• Launch boost ($49). Skip the queue, plus 7 days in the Featured strip on the homepage.
• Featured slot (bids from $29/week or $99/month). A sponsored card on the homepage, /trending or one tool page of your choice. You set the price: sponsored cards are ordered by what each sponsor pays per day, highest first. There are at most 3 sponsored cards on the homepage and 2 on other pages; when they're all taken, new sponsors start as soon as the next one ends. A higher bid never cuts short a campaign that is already running.

All promotions are one-time payments. Nothing renews automatically.

Does paying change my rank?

No. Sponsored placements appear in separate, labelled slots. The trend score and leaderboard position are calculated the same way for every product, paid or not. See how ranking works.

How are sponsored placements labelled?

• Every sponsored placement is visibly labelled “Sponsored”.
• Links in sponsored placements use rel="sponsored", as search engines require.

Can a promotion be declined?

Yes. We may decline promotions for low-quality or misleading products, or anything that breaks our terms. If we decline before the placement starts, you get a full refund. Once a placement has started, it is non-refundable.
