Balaur
Node-based 2D & 3D game engine with deterministic multiplayer and instant script
Visit balaurengine.org ↗What is Balaur?
Balaur is a game engine written in Rust that emphasizes determinism for multiplayer games—same inputs produce identical outputs across all platforms. Scripts use Rust syntax with async/await and reload in milliseconds during development. The editor is built as a Balaur project itself, featuring a scene tree, inspector, gizmos, and play-in-editor testing.
Designed for game developers, animators, and level designers. Supports 2D and 3D physics via Rapier, bone animation with glTF import, networking over HTTP/WebSocket/WebTransport, and exports to Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and web as single self-contained binaries.
