Afnon replaces the default Android TV launcher with a focused interface built around the Islamic prayer day. It displays the next prayer with a live countdown inside a mihrab arch, six daily prayer times across the top, favorite apps below, and plays the call to prayer automatically. Prayer times are calculated offline on the TV itself for 136 cities across 43 countries, with configurable calculation methods and Hijri date adjustment. The app includes 14 adhan voices, Qibla direction, and 16 Quran radio stations. Built with Claude Code and tested on Google TV (Android 12), controlled via remote D-pad. Free and open source (MIT license).
