aitasks

aitasks is a terminal-based IDE designed for AI coding agents and their human operators. It combines a kanban board, code browser, agent monitor, and AI-enhanced git workflows in a single tmux session with full mouse support. Tasks are stored as markdown files with YAML frontmatter directly in your git repository, requiring no backend or database.

The tool optimizes intent transfer between humans and agents through living task documents that evolve iteratively. It integrates with Claude Code and other supported coding agents via skills, enabling task decomposition, parallel development, code review, and release workflows. The code browser annotates each line back to its originating task, creating long-term memory for future work.
