XHTML
Collectible card game where you build websites with limited HTML tags
Visit xhtml.es ↗What is XHTML?
XHTML is a daily card-collection game for developers. Each day you receive a free pack of five cards featuring HTML tags, CSS properties, attributes, and typefaces at varying rarity levels. Your website can only use the cards you own—if you have two div cards, you can only use two divs; a third gets stripped out. This constraint forces creative problem-solving and teaches efficient HTML and CSS usage.
Players build and publish live sites using their card collection, competing to accomplish more with fewer resources. The platform includes a catalog of 566 cards across six rarity tiers, a feed to explore others' creations, and a league system. The creator mentions using AI coding tools to help bring this idea to life.
