XHDR is a web tool for generating eye-catching profile pictures optimized for HDR screens on Twitter/X, iPhone, Mac, and iPad. Users upload a photo and adjust brightness and highlight intensity to create a glowing effect that stands out in feeds and dark mode. The tool works best with photos featuring bright colors and supports PNG, JPG, and WebP formats up to 10MB.
The maker built this as a rapid prototyping exercise using AI coding tools, going from idea to production in about an hour. It requires no database and includes additional features like photo resizing and a tap-to-reveal effect.
