DreamSkin

DreamSkin is a theming tool for the Codex desktop application that lets users customize the workspace appearance through custom themes. It includes an online Studio for creating themes from images and CSS, a community Gallery of user-submitted themes, and a desktop client that applies themes locally without modifying the official Codex installation. The project describes itself as built with local CDP injection to keep content private on users' computers.

Users can browse approved community themes, preview them in high-fidelity simulations across light and dark states, and apply themes with a single click. The tool supports custom images and Safe CSS, with theme packages verified against a standard format. A pause feature temporarily hides the current theme, while full restore recovers the original appearance and closes the debug session.
