Visit vibesql.org ↗What is VibeSQL?
VibeSQL is a SQL:1999 compliant database engine written entirely in safe Rust, designed to prioritize query speed over storage efficiency. It combines hybrid row and columnar storage with vectorized execution, supporting both OLTP point lookups and analytical scans. The database runs as a native binary, WebAssembly application, or embedded library, with features including window functions, CTEs, triggers, views, and vector search.
The project passes comprehensive test suites including 100% SQLLogicTest conformance and 22/22 TPC-H queries. It includes a browser-based demo, CLI tool, Python bindings, TypeScript SDK, and HTTP/GraphQL APIs. According to the repository, VibeSQL was built entirely by AI agents using Claude Code.
