Geo-Score evaluates whether well-known websites can be found, parsed, trusted, and cited by AI answer engines using a transparent, reproducible rubric. The project scored 229 sites with a median score of 57, revealing that 54 sites cannot be cited due to retrieval barriers—either deliberate (robots.txt blocks) or accidental (JavaScript-dependent content). The tool identifies regional patterns, noting Chinese-market sites score 16 points lower due to missing metadata conventions like llms.txt and Organization schema.

Designed for site owners and researchers, Geo-Score provides a free command-line tool (Python 3.8+) to check any site's AI visibility in about 20 seconds, with detailed explanations of scoring criteria and competitive comparisons available.
