Visit zhyan0603.github.io ↗What is ServerIsland?
ServerIsland is a macOS menu bar app that displays Slurm cluster jobs, GPU usage, and live progress of VASP, LAMMPS, GPUMD and NEP simulations in a Dynamic Island-style panel. It connects to remote servers via SSH, reads ~/.ssh/config for ProxyJump and key support, and requires no server-side installation. Built for computational materials scientists, chemists and physicists who need quick visibility into job status without repeatedly typing squeue or tail commands.
Features include per-server cards showing running/pending job counts and resource usage, job array collapsing with completion/failure indicators, plain-language pending reasons, partition-level free CPU/GPU visibility, and notifications with distinct sounds for job completion or failure. The app also includes a status indicator character that reflects server state.
