reladraw
Text language for diagrams with relative positioning and custom layout control
Visit reladraw.github.io ↗What is reladraw?
reladraw is a diagram language that lets you specify where elements go using relative positioning statements rather than absolute coordinates. It bridges the gap between auto-layout tools like Mermaid and manual drawing tools, offering both the efficiency of a text-based language and fine-grained control over diagram appearance. The tool works in the browser, as a CLI, and integrates with AI coding agents.
Designed for both humans and AI systems, reladraw uses simple syntax to declare nodes and edges with relative relationships (e.g., "right of", "below", "level with"). It supports multiple themes, exports to SVG, and can be embedded directly in web pages. According to build evidence, the project was developed with Claude Code.
