Packet Highway
Visualize your network traffic as vehicles on a 3D highway
Visit shakeebshaan.github.io ↗What is Packet Highway?
Packet Highway renders live network packets as animated vehicles on a night highway, running as a Windows wallpaper behind your desktop. Each protocol gets its own vehicle type—HTTPS appears as a bus, QUIC as a sports car, DNS as a motorcycle—while application icons float above to show the sender. The tool requires no installation or admin privileges in demo mode, using only built-in Windows components.
The creator built this with Claude Code, leveraging Windows' native packet monitoring tool and .NET compiler. Users can inspect individual packets by clicking vehicles, monitor bandwidth usage, and watch real-time network activity visualized as rush-hour traffic. A browser-based demo with synthetic traffic is available for trying it out without setup.
