Open CoDesign is a desktop application for turning design prompts into polished prototypes, slide decks, and marketing assets. It runs entirely locally on your laptop, supporting multiple AI models including Claude, GPT, Gemini, and local Ollama instances. Users bring their own API keys or subscriptions with no per-token charges or mandatory accounts.
The tool includes twelve built-in design skills for common layouts like dashboards, landing pages, and chat interfaces, plus AI-tuned sliders for tweaking colors, spacing, and fonts without re-prompting. Version 0.2 adds agentic design with workspace-backed sessions, permissioned local tools, and DESIGN.md for storing brand values and design tokens. Everything is MIT licensed and runs with no telemetry by default.
