Locker

Locker is a self-hosted alternative to Dropbox and Google Drive, designed for teams and power users who want full control over their file infrastructure. It supports multiple storage backends including local disk, AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, and Vercel Blob, with automatic replication across stores for redundancy. The platform includes file preview, tagging, shareable links with expiration and download limits, and a virtual bash filesystem for command-line navigation.

Key features include AI-powered document transcription for searchable PDFs and images, an AI-powered knowledge base with chat and graph visualization, workspace teams with role-based access, and a plugin system for extensibility. Built with Next.js, PostgreSQL, tRPC, and Tailwind CSS, Locker emphasizes type safety and open-source transparency with no vendor lock-in.
