Instatic

Instatic is a self-hosted CMS combining a visual editor, content engine, and publisher in a single Bun server. It generates plain semantic HTML and compact CSS with no framework runtime or builder artifacts, allowing sites to load as static files. The project describes itself as an open-source alternative to Webflow, Framer, and WordPress.

Designed for builders who want full ownership, Instatic runs on your own infrastructure with SQLite or Postgres storage. It includes design tokens and fluid type systems, visual components with typed parameters, form handling, media management, and a plugin system.
