Houndarr
Automated media searching for Radarr, Sonarr, Lidarr, Readarr, and Whisparr
Visit av1155.github.io ↗What is Houndarr?
Houndarr is a self-hosted companion tool that automatically searches for missing media, items below quality cutoff, and upgrade-eligible content across your *arr stack. It solves the problem of the built-in "Search All Missing" button overwhelming indexer API limits by distributing searches in small batches with controlled intervals and per-item delays.
The tool runs as a single Docker container and includes a web dashboard for monitoring, per-instance configuration, and on-demand search triggers. It features encrypted API key storage, zero telemetry, and focuses solely on triggering searches through your existing *arr instances without managing downloads, indexers, or user requests. According to the project's documentation, it was built using FastAPI, HTMX, and Tailwind CSS with Claude AI coding tools.
