Isocast is a screen recording and streaming application for macOS on Apple silicon, built as an alternative to OBS. It records each source (screen, window, camera) as a separate full-quality file synchronized to a single timeline, while using approximately half the CPU and memory of OBS. The app includes scenes, sources, transitions, audio mixing, and an integrated editor for trimming and switching between angles without re-encoding. It imports OBS scene collections and responds to obs-websocket commands, making existing automation tools compatible. Built in Rust and distributed under MIT or Apache 2.0 licenses.
