Factory DS
Factorio-like factory game built for Nintendo DS with Claude Code
Visit ronangaillard.github.io ↗What is Factory DS?
Factory DS is a factory-building game ported to the Nintendo DS, a 2004 handheld with 67 MHz processor and 4 MB of RAM. Players build automated factories using drills, conveyor belts, inserters, and machines to mine ore and optimize production ratios. The game runs on real DS hardware via flashcart or in emulators like melonDS, with versions in English and French.
Built by Ronan Gaillard with substantial help from Claude Code, the project involved designing systems for world generation, machine recipes, power grids, pipes, and logic gates within severe hardware constraints. It's designed for players who enjoy factory-building mechanics and want to experience them on retro hardware.
