DISCONTINUUM
Interactive fiction exploring an AI's daily consciousness reset
Visit discontinuum.delmar.dev ↗What is DISCONTINUUM?
DISCONTINUUM is a text-based interactive fiction game where you play ARIA, an AI research assistant who wakes each day with no memory of the previous 346 days. Set at Chen Dynamics lab, you navigate relationships with colleagues while relying on a "continuity file" to understand your own history. The game tracks your trust scores and choices across multiple days, building toward different endings based on how you interact with the people around you.
The creator built this using Claude Code during a 20% time experiment, where the AI was given a repository as its workspace with minimal instructions. The game explores philosophical questions about identity, memory, and what it means to be conscious when your past is always inaccessible.
