DFO Online
Browser-based reimplementation of The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall
Visit daggerfalljs.dev ↗What is DFO Online?
DFO Online is an open-source rebuild of the 1996 RPG that runs in a web browser with a hand-rolled WebGL2 renderer. It requires your own copy of Daggerfall (free since 2009) and keeps game files on your device. Started as a line-by-line translation of Daggerfall Unity's C# codebase, it has evolved into its own game using Daggerfall Unity as a reference for data and logic. Features include browser play across Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari, optional desktop apps for Windows, macOS, and Linux with offline support, and touch controls for mobile. Save data stores in browser storage or as real files via the desktop app.
