claude-devtools
Debugging tool that reveals what Claude Code actually does from session logs
Visit claude-dev.tools ↗What is claude-devtools?
claude-devtools is a debugging interface for Claude Code that reconstructs hidden execution details from local session logs. It addresses Claude Code's shift toward opaque summaries by displaying exact file paths, tool inputs/outputs, thinking steps, token attribution, and subagent activity—information stripped from the terminal but preserved in ~/.claude/ logs.
Designed for developers using Claude Code, it provides syntax-highlighted transcripts, inline diffs, context window breakdowns across seven categories, and per-project memory visualization. The tool reads existing logs without wrapping Claude Code or requiring API keys, works across macOS, Linux, and Windows, and is free and open source.
