Auto-generated skeleton loading screens extracted from your real UI

Boneyard is a framework for creating pixel-perfect skeleton screens by automatically capturing the layout of your actual components. Instead of manually designing placeholders, you wrap components in a Skeleton tag, run the CLI once to extract bone positions from your live DOM, and the library handles rendering during loading states with zero layout shift.
It supports React, Preact, Vue, Svelte, Angular, and React Native. The runtime is compact (~7.5KB), bones are stored as static JSON, and the CLI includes incremental builds that only recapture changed components. According to the source, the project was built using Claude Code.
