ZCodium is a community-maintained fork of ZCode, an AI programming workbench. It addresses a gap between ZCode's official installer and its open-source repository by reverse-engineering and rebuilding missing features directly into the source code. The project includes desktop applications, web interfaces, terminal agents, and CLI tools.
ZCodium tracks upstream updates while systematically closing capability gaps through built-in plugins, skill modules, and interface alignment. All work is documented with specifications covering scope, ownership, contracts, and acceptance criteria.
