Whisper Money

Whisper Money is a privacy-focused personal finance application designed for users who want to manage their money without compromising data security. It lets you track expenses, create budgets, categorize transactions, and gain financial insights—all while keeping your data private and under your control. The app supports direct bank connections through open banking for automatic transaction syncing, manual entry, and imports.

You can self-host the entire application and point it to a local AI model to keep everything on your own infrastructure. The codebase is fully public on GitHub, allowing you to verify exactly where your data goes. According to the project, it was built using Laravel 12, React 19, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
