Vant
Persistent memory system for AI agents using GitHub as storage
Visit vant.creadev.org ↗What is Vant?
Vant is an open-source system that gives AI agents durable memory across sessions by storing brain files in GitHub. Each agent session inherits full context from previous runs, with version control built in. The system includes 31 MCP tools, search with reranking and compression for LLM context, lazy-loadable components called Islands, webhooks, and notifications across Slack, Discord, and email.
Designed for long-running autonomous agents, Vant can be deployed via npm, Docker, or cloned locally. It supports multi-agent workflows using branches, exports skills for Claude Code and other platforms, and offers both MCP server and headless REST API modes. The maker built it as a durable runtime with generational evolution for agents.
