Synch

Synch is an open-source plugin that keeps Obsidian vaults synchronized across devices with client-side encryption. The project describes itself as an open-source alternative to Obsidian Sync. Notes are encrypted locally before leaving your device, and the service cannot read plaintext data, file paths, or vault keys.

The tool detects changes frequently for near-instant sync, maintains encrypted version history for recovery, and automatically merges non-overlapping edits across devices. Users can deploy to a free Cloudflare account or self-host using Docker or systemd, giving full control over infrastructure and data storage.
