Synapse
Self-hosted AI workspace for building and coordinating digital teams
Visit synapse-zai-org.vercel.app ↗What is Synapse?
Synapse is a conversation-centric runtime designed for teams that want to coordinate AI agents alongside human collaborators. Rather than treating chat as a thin interface over isolated bots, Synapse makes the conversation itself the collaboration boundary where humans, AI actors, and remote agents work together in shared threads with unified memory, permissions, and resource access.
The platform supports multiple participant types (workspace members, native actors, bridged remote agents, and external contacts) within single conversations. Teams can assign specialized roles—researcher, writer, coordinator, analyst—that learn from shared context and grow with organizational memory. Plugins, MCP tools, and local devices are governed through explicit, revocable grants at the workspace level. According to the GitHub repository, it is built with Claude Code and can be self-hosted.
