Runbo Li's Guardian
Playable Halo 3 map as an interactive personal website
Visit runboli.com ↗What is Runbo Li's Guardian?
A browser-based personal website built inside Halo 3's Guardian map. Instead of a traditional resume site, creator Runbo Li embedded a treasure hunt through photos, stories, quests, and mini-games across the iconic multiplayer level. Players explore using WASD and mouse, discovering memories and Easter eggs hidden throughout the environment. No signup required.
The project combines an original Guardian asset export (115,250 faces) with custom systems for shaders, lighting, physics, animations, and quest routing. The maker says the code was written using Codex with Astra. Pickups and interactive elements were manually placed against the geometry using callout maps, with 21 MB of assets loaded during the lobby countdown.
