peerd
Browser-native AI agent harness running entirely in Chrome or Firefox
Visit peerd.ai ↗What is peerd?
peerd is an AI agent runtime built as a web extension that runs directly inside your browser without requiring cloud services, external processes, or MCP connections. It operates within your existing tabs, sessions, and web apps, using the browser's native security model—origins, sandboxes, and permission gates—to safely execute agent tasks. The platform supports multiple compute environments including JavaScript notebooks, WebAssembly Linux VMs, and client-side applications, with each task running in isolated actors.
Designed for users who want autonomous agents without external dependencies, peerd lets you choose your own model provider (hosted or local) and keeps all sessions, memory, and context within the extension. The project is built with vanilla JavaScript and minimal non-browser dependencies, published under Apache 2 license with no product telemetry.
