NeqSim
Open-source Java library for fluid behavior and process simulation
Visit equinor.github.io ↗What is NeqSim?
NeqSim is a library for calculating fluid behavior, phase equilibrium, and process simulation. It handles thermodynamic modeling, PVT analysis, pipeline flow, production optimization, and safety analysis for oil, gas, CO2, refrigerants, hydrogen, ammonia, and chemicals. Available via Java, Python, .NET, MATLAB interfaces, or web app. Built with Windsurf and Claude Code, the project includes toolboxes for multiple programming languages and supports integration into process simulators through CAPE-OPEN. Maintained by NTNU's Department of Energy and Process Engineering.
