mcporter
TypeScript runtime and CLI toolkit for calling Model Context Protocol servers
Visit mcporter.sh ↗What is mcporter?
mcporter lets developers and AI agents discover and invoke MCP servers from the command line, scripts, or generated standalone CLIs without boilerplate. It auto-discovers servers configured in Cursor, Claude, VS Code, and other tools, then provides typed access to their tools and resources via simple commands or a TypeScript API.
The toolkit includes a CLI for inspecting servers and calling tools, code generation for creating focused CLIs or typed clients, and support for multiple connection methods including stdio, HTTP, and SSE. Built with TypeScript, it's designed around Anthropic's code-execution-with-MCP pattern, letting agents call MCP servers like normal functions.
