Hopp
Open source screen sharing and pair programming for developers
Visit gethopp.app ↗What is Hopp?
Hopp is a desktop application for remote pair programming and screen sharing, designed specifically for engineering teams. It offers sub-100ms latency, HD screen quality, and instant remote control without the limitations of generic meeting tools. Users can start sessions with a single click, share any application (not just browser tabs), and support up to 10 people in one room with full control capabilities.
The project describes itself as an open-source alternative to Tuple, Pop, Drovio, and CoScreen. Built using Tauri and Rust with WebRTC infrastructure, Hopp is available as a managed cloud service or self-hosted on your own infrastructure. It includes everything needed for self-hosting: Postgres, Redis, LiveKit, and automatic TLS certificates.
