GlycemicGPT

GlycemicGPT is an open-source platform for managing Type 1 diabetes through real-time glucose monitoring, AI-powered pattern analysis, and automated caregiver notifications. It integrates directly with continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps via Bluetooth, or pulls data from existing Nightscout instances. The platform runs entirely on your own infrastructure with no cloud vendor lock-in.

Features include daily AI briefs, meal response analysis, conversational chat with clinical knowledge, predictive alerting, and Wear OS watch support. Users choose their own AI provider—local options like Ollama keep all health data on-device, while cloud providers are also supported. The project was built with FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Next.js, and TypeScript, and emphasizes that it supplements rather than replaces clinical care.
