Glider is an interactive flight simulator that models the physics of unpowered aircraft. Players control pitch, roll, yaw, and airbrakes to stay aloft by finding thermals and ridge lift, using realistic aerodynamic principles based on actual glider specifications like the ASK-21 trainer.
The simulator features full stick controls and attempts to accurately model angle of attack, lift, and drag interactions. Built as a learning project, the maker combined historical gliding references with AI assistance to develop the aerodynamic model over several evenings.
