GenOffice

GenOffice is a free, open-source desktop application for macOS, Windows, and Linux that lets you edit Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, PDFs, HTML, and Markdown files with built-in AI assistance. Each editor preserves original file formats—only your changes are rewritten. The suite includes six editors in one workspace: Docs for .docx files with byte-preserving edits, Sheets with native .xlsx support including charts and pivot tables, Slides for native .pptx with masters and layouts, PDF editing with font preservation, HTML generation for landing pages and reports, and a distraction-free Markdown editor.

Built with Claude Code, GenOffice is designed for anyone needing to draft, edit, or generate office documents. AI features work with Genspark credits or your own API key. The entire codebase is open-source and available on GitHub.
