Deft

Deft is a self-hostable, open-source workspace designed for teams working alongside AI agents. It unifies chat, tasks, knowledge management, approvals, and action history in a single connected interface. The core idea is to keep conversations, decisions, and resulting work together so context isn't lost when information moves between people and tools.

The workspace includes Defty, a built-in assistant that can draft tasks from conversations for team review and approval. Users can capture team discussions into a knowledge base, tag Defty to propose work items, and maintain a complete audit trail of who made changes and when. Built with Node.js and Claude API integration, it's designed for technical teams seeking control over their agent-assisted workflows.
