Tofu Chat is a team messaging app supporting direct messages, spaces for topics or teams, threads, and file sharing. Users sign in with Google and can invite others via email. The app includes message editing and deletion, reactions, search, mentions, stars, and drafts stored locally. File uploads support up to 5 MiB per file with three attachments per message; voice recordings up to two minutes. Mobile access works through Safari or any browser.
Built with Claude Code and deployed on Tofu, which provides hosting, managed database, and Google authentication. Designed for groups up to 30 people seeking a straightforward alternative to larger team chat platforms.
