cadrs
Parametric CAD app written in Rust, runs locally with AI assistant support
Visit rvdende.github.io ↗What is cadrs?
cadrs is a free, open-source parametric CAD application built in Rust that lets you sketch, constrain, and build parts, assemblies, drawings, and PCBs in a single document. The modeling kernel is pure Rust with a Bevy UI. It runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS without requiring accounts or cloud storage—documents stay on your computer.
The app supports sketching with geometric constraints and driving dimensions, part studios with extrude, revolve, sweep, loft, fillet, and other features, and integrates with AI assistants like Claude and Cursor through an MCP server. Built with claude-code, it's designed for engineers and makers who want local-first CAD with AI-assisted workflows.
