Visit xprem.dev ↗What is xprem?
xprem is a self-hosted, open-source server that delivers over-the-air updates to Expo and React Native applications. It implements the official Expo Updates protocol, allowing any app using expo-updates to connect to it. The project describes itself as an open-source alternative to EAS Update, letting developers run update infrastructure on their own servers and cloud storage.
The platform includes progressive rollouts, branch and channel management, instant rollbacks, and A/B testing capabilities. It integrates with expo-observe for collecting crashes, metrics, events and logs from devices, storing them in your own ClickHouse instance. Deployment options include Docker, Helm charts, or a single Go binary, with support for AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage, Cloudflare R2, and other storage providers.
