Zhuzhiliao is a browser-based recreation of a classic Chinese bamboo toy (竹知了) that produces chirping sounds when swung in circles. The core mechanic simulates the real toy's physics: a bamboo tube suspended by a rosin-coated string generates sound through friction and resonance as it spins. Built as a single HTML file with no dependencies, it runs offline and prioritizes mobile devices. Sound synthesis combines real toy recordings with procedural audio (sawtooth oscillators, band-pass filtering, amplitude modulation) that responds to spin speed. The project also includes other games like Wuiwai, Woodpecker Tapping, Dragonfly, and Sudoku.
