ripgit

ripgit is a lightweight, self-hostable Git remote that runs on Cloudflare Durable Objects. It works with any standard Git client, supporting push, clone, and fetch operations through familiar URLs. The service includes built-in full-text search across code and commit history powered by SQLite FTS5, with support for query prefixes like @author, @message, and @path.

Designed for developers wanting Git hosting without managing servers, ripgit offers a web UI with file browsing, commit history, diffs, syntax highlighting, and markdown rendering. It provides strict isolation through one Durable Object per repository, achieves 5–20x compression via delta compression, and includes a read API for refs, commits, trees, and files. The project is built in Rust with workers-rs and is open source.
