PandaFilter
Context intelligence layer that compresses noise for AI coding agents
Visit assafwoo.github.io ↗What is PandaFilter?
PandaFilter is a local-first tool that sits between your development environment and AI coding agents, filtering command output and managing context to reduce token usage and costs. It intercepts tool outputs from pip, cargo, npm and similar commands, removing noise like download progress and passing tests while preserving errors and warnings. The tool also maintains a file-relationship index using BERT-powered semantic ranking to surface relevant files.
Supporting eight AI agents including Claude Code, Cursor, and Windsurf, PandaFilter learns noise patterns across sessions and preserves context during compaction. It achieves 82% token reduction across 47 built-in handlers with 85.6% file retrieval accuracy. The maker indicates it was built with Claude Code.
