Open Reality
Convert phone video into AI-queryable 3D scenes for Claude, Codex, and Cursor
Visit open-reality.io ↗What is Open Reality?
Open Reality is a developer tool that converts handheld video captures into 3D scenes that AI assistants can measure, navigate, and analyze. It integrates with Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, and Cursor through an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, exposing 41 tools for spatial understanding and scene queries.
The platform supports measurement between points, path planning through scanned spaces, and exports for robot-training datasets in LeRobot or GR00T formats. It includes an offline simulator for development without an account, and can be self-hosted on your own GPU or Modal account. The reconstruction core builds on VGGT-SLAM research from MIT SPARK Lab.
