open-passkey
Open-source passkey authentication library with post-quantum support
Visit lockeidentity.com ↗What is open-passkey?
open-passkey is an MIT-licensed library for adding passkey authentication to applications across multiple languages and frameworks. It supports Go, TypeScript, Python, Java, .NET, Rust, PHP, and Ruby, with server bindings for 20+ frameworks including Express, Next.js, Flask, and Django. The library uses WebAuthn combined with hybrid composite signatures that pair classical ECDSA with NIST-standardized post-quantum algorithms for future-proof security.
Developers can use open-passkey with their own backend or leverage Locke Gateway, a free hosted authentication service that handles credential storage and session management without requiring server-side code. The maker says it was built with Claude Code to simplify deployment of projects. Client SDKs are available for React, Vue, Svelte, Solid, and Angular, enabling passkey authentication across any frontend framework.
