nibli
A deterministic theorem prover that derives conclusions without hallucination
Visit dhilipsiva.dev ↗What is nibli?
Nibli is a symbolic reasoning engine compiled to WebAssembly that performs formal logical inference over knowledge bases you define. It uses backward-chaining deduction to answer queries with complete proofs, returning TRUE, FALSE, UNKNOWN, or RESOURCE_EXCEEDED—never guesses. The system consists of a parser, semantic compiler, and reasoning engine, all running in your browser with no data leaving your machine.
Designed for applications requiring provable correctness like GDPR compliance and drug-interaction checking, nibli accepts human-readable predicate notation (e.g., `dog(Adam).`, `animal(every dog).`) and compiles it to first-order logic. The maker used Claude Code to build it. A guided tour and full playground let you write your own knowledge representations, formalize English statements, and inspect every derivation step.
