MuxLayer
Local gateway to route, convert, and trace AI model requests for coding agents
Visit dengmengmian.github.io ↗What is MuxLayer?
MuxLayer is a local control layer that sits between coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini CLI and their upstream model providers. It lets you choose which model provider and model each request uses, with automatic failover, protocol conversion across OpenAI and Anthropic formats, and multi-key rotation across 25+ providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, and Ollama.
The tool preserves your original client configurations and can be restored with one click. Every request is logged locally with routing decisions, token counts, costs, and latency visible in a dashboard. On macOS and Windows, it also prevents system sleep during long-running AI tasks. The project was built as a local-first alternative to hosted API resellers.
