Mira

Mira is a chat interface designed to maintain continuous conversation with a single user across sessions. Unlike typical AI assistants that reset between chats, Mira keeps an unbroken thread that never resets, automatically extracting and curating memories from exchanges. The memory system operates like neural pathways, with overlapping memories merging and forming typed relationships as they accumulate.

The platform includes Domaindocs, shared notebooks for persistent project notes and references that both user and Mira can edit in real time. Mira learns a personalized model of each user based on what communication approaches work best, refining its responses over time. Available as both a hosted service and open-source repository, each user starts with a blank instance that grows and develops user-specific capabilities.
