Mesh Avatar Studio
Turn illustrations into animated 2D avatars with AI-assisted rigging
Visit shinshin86.github.io ↗What is Mesh Avatar Studio?
Mesh Avatar Studio converts a single illustration into an animated 2D avatar that blinks, speaks, turns its head, and sways accessories. A coding agent (Claude Code or Codex) prepares the initial rig from your image; you then refine it in a local editor with live preview, adjusting part placement by dragging handles and adding drawn variants for expressions. The finished avatar exports as a .mavatar file for embedding in apps via the mesh-avatar runtime library available on npm.
Designed for developers and creators who want to add animated character avatars to applications without manual rigging. Requires Node.js 22.17+ to run locally. Best results from front-facing PNGs with transparent backgrounds.
