MediaLyze
Self-hosted media library analysis for large video and music collections
Visit medialyze.app ↗What is MediaLyze?
MediaLyze is a self-hosted application that scans and analyzes large local media libraries without relying on external services. It provides technical metadata analysis, duplicate detection, quality scoring, and customizable dashboards for movies, series, and music. The tool runs on Docker or as a native desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux, keeping file paths and diagnostics on your own machine.
Designed for users maintaining serious media collections, MediaLyze offers configurable scan workers, historical tracking, folder recognition for shows and seasons, and quality metrics to identify weak encodes and bitrate issues. It uses ffprobe for analysis and stores data in a simple SQLite database. The project is built with FastAPI and React.
